"Applebee's Blonde Brownies" by Christy Schwartz

- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter (1o tbs.)
- 2 cups packed golden brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Lightly flour and butter a 9x13x2 pan.
3. Sift flour into a bowl.
4. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
5. Melt butter.
6. In mixing bowl, place melted butter and add sugar, mixing well.
7. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
8. Add flour slowly, blending. Batter will be slightly thick.
9. Spread in pan.
10. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over all.
11. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
